Our Team

Melissa Cutlip

Development Consultant / Executive Producer

For the past two decades, Melissa Cutlip has been living in the world of gang cops, high-end interior designers, and people who eat their couch. As an Executive Producer for networks and streamers such as TLC, HGTV, and Fox Nation, the stories she’s been part of telling have represented a truly diverse cross section of American life.

In addition to her work on commissioned shows, she’s also developed and produced a range of branded content integrations for major airlines, home decor companies, and tourist boards.  Melissa has a BA in History and MA in Journalism, both from The University of Michigan.

Lisa Prieto

Director of Development

A member of the Brenton team since 2011, Lisa is excited to aid Brenton’s expansion into other non-fiction genres while helping maintain its continued legacy in the automotive space. Lisa developed, cast, and co-executive produced Brenton’s first home improvement program, Homefront for the Holidays, for Fox Nation. She has worked on paid development projects on behalf of Brenton for A&E, Lifetime, and Fox Nation.

Lisa also provides support for automotive development and branded entertainment, recently helping Brenton to a greenlight for Speedvision’s original streaming series Helping Hands Garage, as well as two original branded series for Hemmings. Lisa earned her BA in Communications from Purdue University.

David Hall

Development Consultant / Executive Producer

One of the founders of TNN, David Hall served as President of TNN and CMT, leading TNN’s growth to a top ten cable network in the US and Canada, and CMT’s development as the leading country music video channel until 2000. 

As an Executive Producer at Brenton Productions, David has developed relationships on behalf of Brenton with network partners such as SPEED Channel, Discovery, and MotorTrend.  He was instrumental in helping build MotorTrendTV’s popular weekend High Performance Block with the creation of All Girls Garage and Car Fix. He recently helmed development and production of Helping Hands Garage, the first original series for automotive FAST channel Speedvision.

Chris Crean

Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Since 2019, Chris has been with Brenton Productions, bringing with him more than two decades of experience in television and digital media.  He’s worked in both sales and developmental roles at AETN Networks, iVillage and Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD).  At WBD, he was a key member of the team that launched and built the Velocity Network (now MotorTrendTV).

Working in collaboration with clients, producers, and agencies, his passion is building lasting partnerships with both established and emerging brands.  His work spans everything from Custom Sponsorships, to Branded Content, to Original Program Development. Chris has a BA in Communications from The State University of New York at Albany.

Cliff Huff

Development Consultant

Cliff joined the Brenton team in 2023, bringing experience working with non-profit organizations, state agencies, colleges, brands, and more to create, fund, and negotiate distribution for compelling content that resonates with targeted audiences.

In 2021 Cliff worked with the Florida Keys to produce Only in The Florida Keys, which won Visit Florida’s Henry Flagler award for outstanding tourism advocacy. Through a partnership with University of Florida, Cliff accessed a conservation grant to underwrite an entire landscaping makeover series. In 2023, Flip My Florida Yard won an Emmy for its ability to communicate water conservation and sustainably landscaping practices to homeowners. Cliff received his BA in Film from the University of Central Florida.

Matt Allegretti

Senior Development Producer

​As Senior Producer for Brenton’s automotive content, Matt has helped launch multiple linear series, including Car Fix, All Girls Garage, and FourWheeler, for MotorTrendTV. He also helped develop and produce Helping Hands Garage for FAST channel Speedvision, as well as original branded digital content for automotive brands like Hemmings.  

A member of the Brenton team since 2005, Matt supervises the post-production department and has directed several of Brenton’s long-running automotive series, including the SEMA Show prime-time special for MotorTrendTV. Matt has a BA in Mass Communications-Broadcast Journalism from University of South Florida.

Katie Alexander

Development Manager

After completing an internship with Brenton Productions in 2015, Katie’s shooting and editing skills and can-do attitude earned her a full-time position with Brenton Productions. Since joining Brenton, Katie has been involved with production, post-production media management, and media deliverables for Brenton’s programs including Homefront for the Holidays, Helping Hands Garage, Car Fix, All Girls Garage, FourWheeler, Truck U, and Two Guys Garage.

Katie is also the Assistant Director and site manager for FourWheeler. A Florida native, Katie earned her BA in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida.
